Good morning everyone!
Andre here. First of all - congratulations to everyone on a great close to the 2024 OE season! 🎉🍾
Now, I know we've been a bit quiet on the update front lately, and I owe you an explanation for that.
Here's what's been happening: We've been growing. A lot. We're now pushing millions of messages daily, which is incredible. While the team has been constantly working on updates and optimizations, most of it has been behind the scenes - the kind of work that keeps everything running smoothly while we scale, but isn't exactly exciting to write home about.
But there's more to the story. We've actually been rebuilding OnlySales from the ground up. Why? Well, our current codebase ended up looking something like this after all our rapid growth and quick updates:
Not exactly what you'd call... organized. But here's where we're heading with the new version (still in development, aiming for Q1 release):
Much better, right? Here's the cool part - we learned our lesson from the first time around. The new system is being built to handle 5x our current volume without breaking a sweat. We're essentially building the foundation for a company much larger than we are now, so when we get there (and we will), we won't need to slow down and fix things - we can just keep pushing forward.
This year, we're getting back to what made OnlySales successful in the first place: listening to our users and building what actually helps you succeed. So while the new version is cooking, we're still rolling out improvements to the current platform. Let's dive into what's new:
We've made this one pretty straightforward, but it's going to make a big difference for new users. Instead of constantly checking the app or waiting for support to reach out, you'll get an automatic email when your brand and campaign are approved. Sometimes the simple fixes are the best ones.
We've completely revamped this process for both new and existing users who haven't submitted their brand for 10DLC yet:
Why these changes? The biggest holdup in 10DLC approvals has always been incorrect submissions - typos in EIN numbers, mismatched brand names, you name it.
By reducing the number of brands that need appeals or updates after submission, we're aiming to speed up the overall approval process. Since all approvals are handled manually, fewer correction requests means more approvals can go through each day.
For those of you running teams through OnlySales (and especially with tax season approaching), we've added some highly requested features:
We've got more in the pipeline, including:
These improvements are necessary now that our database has grown so massive - what worked for under 500 million contacts doesn't quite cut it for over a billion.
Got ideas for improvements? Don't hold back - reach out to support! Updates will be coming more frequently than they have been, and once the new version is ready, we'll be able to implement new features in a quarter of the time it takes now.
As always - thank you for being part of OnlySales. We literally wouldn't be here without each and every one of you. Here's to growing together!
